Galway International Arts Festival is a melting pot of theatre, music, visual arts, opera, street spectacle, dance, discussion and comedy. Music and installations ranging from pop to avant-garde coexist with the city's traditional and renowned textile heritage. GIAF also hosts a discussion forum called "First Thought Talk", to which PACESETTERS was invited to present our collaboration with the festival.
During this forum, James Livesey (University of Galway), Florian Schneider (Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU) and Zoe Romano (Dyne.org foundation) held a panel discussion on the topic "Now that we have to do everything, what are we going to do?", moderated by Caroline Loughnane (University of Galway). The ecological transition can seem like an overwhelming topic, but nothing can stop the mood and will power of a pacesetter like Nerea Rojas. Not even a broken leg! 💪
