Elin May has a BSc in Zoology and MSc in Conservation Science and Policy from the University of Exeter. Elin is a research assistant with the Climate Change Policy Group (CCPG) at the University of Cambridge. Here, Elin investigates climate change policy and how countries across the world can enhance their emission reductions whilst reducing the negative impacts of climate change policy. Her research interests revolve around the climate crisis - including alternative avenues to emissions abatement, climate change narratives, inclusivity in the climate transition, and the socioenvironmental implications of the so-called “triple transition” (i.e., green, digital, inclusive). Elin has previously worked on research projects such as PARIS REINFORCE and the Tsinghua-Cambridge Joint Research Initiative. Elin is also the Project Officer for The Cambridge Trust for New Thinking in Economics (CTNTE). Prior to beginning her research career at Cambridge, Elin has held many different roles - from a hospitality manager and an animal carer to a sustainability and environmental economics intern at a leading environmental consultancy.
