Arthur Steiner

I support civic organizations, impact enterprises and art initiatives with program development, digital strategy, research and fundraising. I'm co-founder of New Silk Roads, a boutique consultancy agency operating from Cairo, Tunis, and Amsterdam. Previously I worked for Hivos, where I led the global grantmaking program on contemporary art and culture (R.O.O.M). The aim of this program was to strengthen and expand civic space and promote dialogue and critical debate. During my tenure, I was also the global Digital Specialist and set up Digital Earth, a research fellowship supporting artists and designers worldwide through educational initiatives, decentralized residencies, and public programs.
