Professor and Head of the Institute for Methodologies of Design and Representation at TU Braunschweig; Representative Board Member of ELIA (European League of Institutes of the Arts)

Fahim Mohammadi is a Professor of Architecture and Head of the Institute for Methodologies of Design and Representation at Technische Universität Braunschweig. His work bridges design methodology, representation, and aesthetic knowledge production across disciplines. Before joining TU Braunschweig in 2025, he served since 2015 as Professor for Design Foundations and Experimental Design and as Vice-Rector for International Affairs at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart.

He is an elected Representative Board Member of ELIA – the European League of Institutes of the Arts, where he has chaired several Steering and Working Groups and contributed to developing new frameworks for arts education and cross-sector collaboration. His research and teaching explore how artistic and architectural thinking can inform processes of learning, design, and transformation in both academic and societal contexts.
