PACESETTERS Summit
PACESETTERS Summit will take place from 12 to 16 November 2025 in Málaga. Opened by Teresa Ribera, the Vice-President of the European Commission, it will be a unique opportunity to highlight the diversity of art and culture as a driver of the climate transition and as Europe’s competitive edge.
About PACESETTERS
PACESETTERS carries out collaborative, artistic and practice-based research to keep pace with the transition. The Horizon Europe funded Research and Innovation Action tests innovative ideas to set the pace of the transition and to assess strategies to push the pace of the transition.
Real-World Laboratories
PACESETTERS Real-World Laboratories have been launched to carry out practical experiments and learn how to make the step from project-based funding to environmental, aesthetic and economic sustainability: Genalguacil and neighbouring villages in the Valle del Genal, in Andalusia; Galway and the International Arts Festival in Ireland; Nowa Huta and the C. K. Norwid Cultural Centre near Kraków in Poland.
Transformation Frameworks
The outcomes of the research informs the development of evaluation and support frameworks that indicate progress and key readiness criteria for the climate transition. They result in a model of a pre-accelerator tailor-made for the CCIs as well as cornerstones of a shared risk mitigation system.
PACESETTERS is a research and innovation action bringing together 15 consortium partners from across Europe, coordinated by NTNU. It is funded under the Horizon Europe programme of the European Commission
